They have met two times this season and both teams won at home. Buffalo beating Pens by 4-3 and Pens overcoming the Sabres by 5-2 in these last two meetings.
Sabres have Connoly, Kaleta and Peters out while their opponents, Pittsburgh have more injuries at the moment. Pens are without defenders, Gonchar, Boucher and Whitney as well as their goaltender Marc Andre Fleury.
